first off I love your soaps! This is a cool soap too- reminds me of a dartboard...I'm guessing you used the bottom of a large juice container, and the top is actually the first layer poured. starting with the a small round ring mold (no top or bottom) pour blue, let set. remove mold. next use a larger round ring, pour white beside blue. Using same mold, (once wht is set, pour red over blue and wht). Red ring is made using smaller juice container ring than the overall mold. carry on with layers until you reach the final white layer. Am i close? Colleen

Good guess, but....no, we didn't use a juice container. It's something that you wouldn't find in a kitchen. :-) What you came up with would work so it was a great try! Thanks for the compliment about our soaps!!

I am going to take a guess. I think it is some kind of hub cab or cover for a wheel???? The only think I can't figure if it is that how you would have gotten it out. I am probably way off base.

Hi Brigette! Another great guess...but no, it does look hubcapish but it's not. Here's another hint....you can find it in a hardware store. :-)

It looks like a gear.

I love a challenge! my next thought is using the lid of a pressure cooker as your mold, BUT you said you wouldn't find it in a kitchen :( Might just have to take a trip to the hardware store and do some browsing...I hope you'll end the suspense for us eventually!

Wow, good guesses all around, but not the right one yet! It's definitely worth a trip to the hardware store.....you're getting warmer with "lid" type of thing. :-)

I just can't let it go....is it made from a garbage can top/bottom?

I have another guess. The plastic cover that we put at the base of a planter to collect water???

Sheila said...

Wow, really, really close Brigette. Okay, do you want to know?

Brigette said...

Close but no cigar. Yes, please tell. I have been very curious.

Okay, the man used a gallon paint can drip catcher lid thingy as the mold. I promise I will pick one up the next time I'm at the hardware store and post a picture of it. He tossed out the one he used after he made the second soap. Thank you for all your great guesses!
